I wrote this song as gift for my daughter, Ellessia, for her 17th birthday. We were sitting at the table one night and I looked up at her and the lines "I remember rocking you to sleep and singing our little lullaby" came to mind. I had my journal out and wrote most of the first verse and chorus while we were sitting at the table together. She had no idea.
